Country of many religions or we can say proudly all religions currently. who are the ancestors of this complex country?. why they have so any gods and goddess?. who invented yoga and Meditation?. Are they really idolaters?. they are many questions like this which people want to ask.
So this is very big topic to discuss. but i try put some extra point in this topic or little different way of thinking.
Idolaters :- I don't think Indian are idolaters because there is 2 thing in human life which is not control of human being creating a life and death but there is one extra thing that most of human being is doing on earth i.e Marriage. Marriage is most purest ritual in all religion because we say 2 souls are bound together (one fact that Indian ancestors are first people who describe or talk about soul and body separately). Let check in all famous religion in the world.
In Islam, verses of Quran is read by there imam and used as Blessing for marriage. According to Islam Quran is the word of God(Allah).
In Christianity they take oath and Blessing in front of cross inside the Church in front of there God(Jesus).
In Hinduism they Take a oath of fire. Yes fire not any stone or idols with some slogan's they call mantra. Mantra to purify the atmosphere.
So if we think more about why fire then we understand why Fire. Because Indian ancestors believe in Soul . According to them every human being is part of god but not by body or blood by Soul. they also believe the GOD is one Pure energy which exist in every human being and thus every one is created by GOD. and fire is also the Pure energy so they take oath of Fire.
So Indian are not idolaters they are worship the energy. so the question come into mind why now they are so many gods and how they start to fall in wrong direction that is idolatry.
The answer of this question is time and information that passes from that long time. because the Indian Culture is one of the old culture so the information pass from time to time create this mess of idolatry. if you think how idolatry?
This happen because the culture believe in meditation. As they people believe the soul is the part of god so the soul is the way to connect god mean all energy of universe. So the meditation is started but some time the meditation is very tough to focus or concentrated so they give the shape to stone and start meditation. but as time pass the pupil of that person or society start believe in that stone. And every stone become GOD. and also they believe every living and non living thing contain the same energy or GOD so they worship everything.
In Conclusion Indian ancestor figure out to connect that universal energy by meditation. And might be i am wrong but in every religion all prophets are doing meditation or try to connect by GOD like Buddha. Indian Ancestors are the first person who figure out this Soul and energy thing.
At last i only say that who is the first person that know this logic of Soul. It is GOD himself or by some miracle the Indian know this logic.
